The opportunity for waitlisted applicants to be served thanks to the additional funding made available for the Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP) in the City of Houston and Harris County is closing June 30, 2023. If you have received an email or a text from the Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP) in the City of Houston, please respond so that your application may continue to be processed. Nonresponsive and incomplete files will be permanently closed July 1, 2023.

Applicants who requested assistance from the Harris County’s Homeowners Assistance Program; and were not served by the county were transferred to the GLO.

Regional offices are open by appointment only until further notice to comply with social distancing protocols pertaining to COVID-19. 

COVID-19 Procedures:

Prior to each appointment, applicants will be asked the following pre-screen questions: 
  1. Has anyone in your household been diagnosed with, or been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
  2. Is anyone in your household currently experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath, or any other flu-like symptoms?
  3. Has anyone in your household traveled outside the U.S. within the past 14 days?
  4. Upon arrival at your scheduled appointment, a trained team member will take the applicant’s temperature with a non-contact infrared forehead thermometer.
  5. All of our centers will maintain appropriate social distancing guidelines by ensuring 6’ separation is maintained between all applicants and team members.
