An additional allocation was awarded to Brazoria County in the amount of $1,182,820. Per the submitted and GLO-approved MOD, funds that are de-obligated and/or cost savings realized from completed projects will be reallocated to Brazoria County for other eligible projects. Any additional allocations will be used for infrastructure projects.

Fort Bend County Method of Distribution
As a HUD-designated “most impacted county,” Fort Bend County has been allocated $17,022,677 in CDBG-DR funds for long-term recovery. An additional allocation was awarded to Fort Bend County in the amount of $1,273,731.
Per the submitted and GLO-approved MOD, the reallocation of CDBG-DR funds from de-obligated projects and/or cost savings from completed projects will be used to fund the county-wide housing program. Any increase in CDBG-DR program allocations will be applied to housing projects.

As a HUD-designated “most impacted county,” Harris County has been allocated $66,199,732 in CDBG-DR funds for long-term recovery.

Any funding not applied for or used by the entity allocated funding will be returned to the county to be used in their allocation. Before seeking new proposals, the county will try to the best extent possible to reallocate funding to existing projects for alternatives, to expand services/units, or to fund proposals received under the county’s competitive RFP who are eligible but not funded due to limited funding. If the county cannot expend the funding, the funding will be returned to the state for reallocation.

Montgomery County Method of Distribution
As a HUD-designated “most impacted county,” Montgomery County has been allocated $23,967,327 in CDBG-DR funds for long-term recovery.
If funds have been de-obligated from a municipality for any reason or there are cost savings for completed projects, or if funds become available for any reason, the funds will be reallocated to Montgomery County for eligible projects using the following guidelines: Amounts less than $2 million per occurrence reverts to county infrastructure projects; amounts equal to or exceeding $2 million trigger a distribution process to reallocate among participating cities based on each city’s original percent of the initial grant.

Newton County Method of Distribution
As a HUD-designated “most impacted county,” Newton County has been allocated $35,370,121 in CDBG-DR funds for long-term recovery. Due to the additional funds allocated, Newton County will retain the funds and will use the distribution factor of 70 percent for housing and 30 percent for infrastructure.
