The GLO is responsible for ensuring that all citizens have equal access to information about the programs, including persons with disabilities and limited English proficiency (LEP).

The GLO will ensure that program information is available in the appropriate languages for the geographic areas to be served and will take appropriate steps to ensure effective communications with persons with disabilities pursuant to 24 CFR 8.6 and other fair housing and civil rights requirements, such as the effective communication requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The GLO has evaluated the needs of persons with limited English proficiency and consulted the Final Guidance to Federal Financial Assistance Recipients Regarding Title VI, Prohibition Against National Origin Discrimination Affecting Limited English Proficient Persons, published on January 22, 2007.
